How to open the Devices and Printers or Printers and Faxes folder in Windows

Windows 10

  1. At the bottom left of the screen click or tap on the  Start button and the menu appears.

  2. Click or tap on Settings


  3. Click or tap on Devices


  4. On the next screen click or tap  Devices and Printers from the bottom of the window.

Note:

If an icon for your Epson printer is not present, the driver is not installed. Install the driver according to the method recommended in article Epson and Windows 10.


Note:

If there is more than one icon for your Epson printer, such as Epson Expression xxx Series and Epson Expression xxx Series (Copy 1), we recommend viewing article Multiple copies of the Driver are listed in the Printers folder.

Windows 8

  1. Move the mouse cursor to the bottom or top-right of the screen and click the Search icon (highlighted below) from the menu that appears.


  2. Type Control panel in the Search bar and press Enter.


  3. In Control Panel double-click Devices and Printers (Small/Large icon view) or click View devices and printers (Category view).


    Note:

    If an icon for your Epson printer is not present, the driver is not installed. Install the driver according to the method recommended in article Epson and Windows 8.


    Note:

    If there is more than one icon for your Epson printer, such as Epson Stylus xxx Series and Epson Stylus xxx Series (Copy 1), we recommend viewing article Multiple copies of the Driver are listed in the Printers folder.

Windows 7

  1. Click the  Start button and then click on Devices and Printers.


  2. Alternatively, type device in the Start Search box and press Enter or click on Devices and Printers.


  3. The Devices and Printers folder will open. An icon for your Epson printer should be present.


    Note:

    If an icon for your Epson printer is not present, the driver is not installed. Install the driver according to the method recommended in article Epson and Windows 7.


    Note:

    If there is more than one icon for your Epson printer, such as Epson Stylus xxx Series and Epson Stylus xxx Series (Copy 1), we recommend viewing article Multiple copies of the Driver are listed in the Printers folder.

Windows Vista

  1. Click the  Start button, and then click on Printers.


  2. If Printers is not listed, type Printers in the Start Search box and press Enter.


  3. This will open the Printers folder. An icon for your Epson printer should be present.


    You can also access this folder by clicking on Start > Control Panel > Printers.


    Note:

    If an icon for your Epson printer is not present, the driver is not installed. Install the driver from the CD-ROM or Epson website. For older products please see article Epson and Microsoft Windows Vista.


    Note:

    If there is more than one icon for your Epson printer, such as Epson Stylus xxx Series and Epson Stylus xxx Series (Copy 1), we recommend viewing article Multiple copies of the Driver are listed in the Printers folder.

Windows XP

  1. Click on Start, then click Printers and Faxes.


  2. If Printers and Faxes is not listed on the Start menu, do the following:
    1. Click on Start, and then click Control Panel.


    2. In Control Panel double-click Printers and Faxes (Classic View).


    3. Or click Printers and Other Hardware (Category View), and in the next window click on View installed printers or fax printers.


    4. This will open the Printers and Faxes folder:


    5. An icon for your Epson printer should be present in the Printers folder.

    Note:

    If an icon for your Epson printer is not present, the driver is not installed.

  1. Click on the Start menu, followed by Settings, and then Printers.
