Image Capture is Showing an Error Message Since Upgrading to macOS 10.12.4 When I Try To Scan Wirelessly

When using some products wirelessly it is not possible to use Image Capture to scan using macOS 10.12.4 or later.

When trying to scan wirelessly you will see the following error message.

If you are experiencing this error we recommend downloading and installing the latest version of Epson Scan for your product.

 

Note:

This error message does not display when using the product with a USB cable.

 

If you are using an application which uses Image Capture to scan, complete the following steps:

 

  1. Delete ICA Driver (EPSON Scanner.app) from your Applications folder.
  2. Install the latest ICA Driver from the Epson website.
  3. Uninstall ICA Driver by using the Uninstaller application available from the Epson website.
