How do I print a borderless photo with my Epson inkjet printer?

RELATES TO:

  • Epson inkjet printers and All-In-Ones
  • Operating System:
    • Windows:
      • Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000 (32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) OS)
    • Mac OS X:
      • (10.4 - 10.11)
  • Photo printing

EXPLANATION:

To print a borderless photo, make sure you have a photo ready to print and have loaded a supported borderless paper size and type.

Preparing the image file

When you print a borderless photo, part of the image will be cropped off because this option enlarges the image slightly beyond the paper size. You need to adjust the image dimensions to fit the size of the paper. If your application has margin settings, make sure they are set to zero before printing.

Selecting and loading a suitable paper type

Make sure your product is powered on and that supported Epson paper has been loaded correctly in the paper sheet feeder. Make sure the number of sheets is less than the limit of 20 sheets specified for photo papers. The paper sizes available for borderless printing differ depending on your product. For more information on loading and selecting supported paper, refer to your user's guide.

  • For paper sizes supported with your printer, refer to Printing > How to Print > Paper compatible with borderless printing.
  • For help loading paper, refer to Printing > Paper Handling > Loading Paper.
Checking your ink levels

Check to make sure you have a sufficient amount of ink to complete the print job you intend to send to the printer. If the ink levels appear to be low, you may only be able to print a small number of photos. Depending on the number of prints required, you may wish to have replacement cartridges ready in the event of ink low or ink out message during printing.

Notes icon Note:
  • Epson recommend you use genuine Epson ink and paper for the best results.

  • Borderless printing takes longer than normal printing.

  • Print quality may decline in the top and bottom areas of the printout, or the area may be smeared when printing on papers other than those listed above. Print a single sheet to check the quality before printing large jobs.
